Alan Judd, Managing Director, Bridge Drainage NZ Ltd
Alan, the owner of Canterbury Kerb and Concrete (CKC), brings extensive experience from the Civil Construction industry. CKC is a thriving, family-owned business with roots dating back to 1965, when Alan’s father founded a successful kerbing operation. Based in Christchurch, CKC operates across the South Island, delivering top-quality products and services to a diverse clientele. The company primarily works with corporate clients, providing comprehensive concrete solutions for commercial projects and subdivisions.
Our Story
With a deep understanding of the industry, Alan identified a growing need for specialized bridge drainage products in both New Zealand and Australia. Leveraging his civil construction expertise and proven management skills, he introduced the innovative Bridge Drainage system to New Zealand and Australia. This environmentally friendly solution uses cutting-edge technology and features modular products made from 70% recycled material.
​The Bridge Drainage system, which has been successfully used in the UK and Europe for over 20 years, provides a durable surface drainage solution that reduces flooding and minimizes the risk of aquaplaning. Its lightweight design directs water away from sensitive areas, ensuring safe drainage off roadways.
